Hopefully if you’ve read the rest of the sections you can start to see the connections to the environmental impacts, the worst of all.
We’ll start with the industry farming process. Raising the animals in these farms requires insane amounts of land, water, resources, toxics, fossil fuels, and food that inevitably lead to animal suffering.
“Animal agriculture is responsible for more greenhouse gases than all the world’s transportation systems combined.”

The water usage that is involved in industry farming creates a large issue for Americans. A single cow can drink up to 50 gallons a day, and for the production of 1 gallon of milk, it takes 683 gallons of water. Even worse it takes 2,400 gallons of water to produce 1 proud of beef. Alternatively, tofu requires 244 gallons. A single person can save 219,000 gallons of water a year by going vegan. 219,000 gallons.
If you don’t want to hear me talk about this anymore, why not listen to Leonardo DiCaprio discussing it?
